The geometry of the space reflects the characteristics of the Ensanche floors, where depth prevails over width. In this case, the lack of natural light in the central areas, due to being on an intermediate floor, is offset by the garden terrace in the inner courtyard and the large opening to the street on the opposite end.

Naturally, the workspaces are located in the brighter areas, closer to the façade, while the common areas are situated in the more interior spaces.

Despite preserving and fully respecting the building’s original structure, with solid brick masonry walls, the removal of some carpentry elements creates a cross-vision of the entire space, from façade to façade. The space flows from one end to the other, always referencing the light entry points at the extremes.

The combination of the building’s original aesthetic features—such as the plaster moldings and decorations on the ceilings or the recovered hydraulic tiles on the floors—with newer solutions, like fiber mesh wall coverings that add texture or solid wood parquet flooring in some areas, enhances what remains of the initial “decor” without allowing the new elements to compete with the existing ones.
